We understand when it comes to your dog’s surgery, you won’t settle for less than the best. That’s why we do everything we can to make each procedure as safe and painless as possible

General & Advanced Surgery

Our facility is equipped with cutting edge technology to maximize your pet’s safety throughout surgery, and our medical team will diligently monitor your pet’s health from start to finish. Our veterinarians regularly perform a range of routine and general surgeries, including the procedures below.

Spay/Neuter Procedure

Spaying or neutering your pet doesn’t just prevent unwanted litters; it has many health benefits and extends your pet’s life expectancy. Spaying your female pet removes the ovaries and uterus to prevent heat cycles (canine periods) and mammary and uterine cancers. Neutering your male pet removes the testicles, preventing testicular cancer and enlarged prostate. Both procedures help reduce unwanted behaviors associated with mating, such as roaming, aggression, and mood swings.

For more reasons to spay or neuter your pet, see Dr. Longo in our video here

Umbilical Hernia

An umbilical hernia is an opening in the muscle wall where your pet’s belly button, called the umbilicus, is located. An umbilical hernia occurs when a puppy’s umbilical ring does not close completely after birth. Sometimes, surgery is required to close a hernia that will not close on its own. When caught early, umbilical hernia surgery can be paired with spaying or neutering.
