Meet Dr. Kristen Giannantonio
Dr. Giannantonio is new to Maryland area. Born and raised originally from Cleveland, Ohio she is one of 6 children from a large Italian family. She graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023 studying both abroad and finished her degree at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Giannantonio knew from age four that she had wanted to become a veterinarian. It was the first time she learned what a veterinarian was after watching “Animal Planet” with her mother. From then on, her love for animals grew and further developed into a lifelong calling to provide medical care. Her love still continues to grow each passing day within the field.
Dr. Giannantonio has worked in many different areas of veterinary medicine, throughout her career including within general practice, emergency, shelter/nonprofit, exotics/pocket pets, and large animal medicine. She enjoys client education and interacting with clients. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, nutrition and orthopedics.
Dr. Giannantonio currently resides in the Annapolis area with her husband Timmy and their dog Maverick. She loves boating and being outdoors. In her spare time is an amateur inventor, designing and building medical use prototypes with goal to better veterinary medicine as a whole.
